Questions people ask

Can I get a personal loan without a salary slip?

Yes. 7 of the lenders we compare check income from your bank statements or through a digital check instead. Your salary credits in the account act as proof, so keep 3 to 6 months of statements from the account your salary goes into.

Which lenders give a personal loan without a salary slip?

IDFC FIRST Bank, InCred and KreditBee have the lowest published starting rates among the 7 lenders we compare that check income from bank statements or digitally. The table shows what each asks for; the lender decides, and approval isn't guaranteed.

What can I use instead of a salary slip?

Bank statements showing regular salary credits are the most common substitute. Some lenders also accept a Form 16, an ITR, an employment letter or a UAN (EPF) check, and digital lenders can read your statements through RBI's Account Aggregator framework with your consent.

Can I get a personal loan if my salary is paid in cash?

It's difficult, because lenders need to see your income. With no bank credits and no salary slip there's little they can verify. Moving your salary into a bank account, even for a few months, makes you eligible at many more lenders.

Is sharing my bank statement through Account Aggregator safe?

Account Aggregators are licensed by RBI and share data only with your explicit consent, for the purpose and period you approve, and you can revoke it. Never share your net banking password or OTPs with anyone, including a lender.
