Questions people ask
How do the UPI rewards differ?
Both need the RuPay variant. On any UPI app, Plus earns 0.25% and Infinity 0.5%; paying through the Tata Neu UPI ID adds 0.75% and 1%, for 1% and 1.5% in total. Both stop at 500 NeuCoins a month, which Infinity reaches at about ₹33,000 of UPI spend and Plus at ₹50,000.
Is the first-year fee really refunded?
It comes back as NeuCoins, not cash: 499 on Plus and 1,499 on Infinity, after your first transaction within 30 days of issue, credited in the Tata Neu app. NeuCoins are worth ₹1 each on Tata Neu purchases. From the second year, the fee is waived at ₹1 lakh of spend on Plus and ₹3 lakh on Infinity.
Do they earn on fuel or rent?
No. Neither earns NeuCoins on fuel, rent, wallet loads or government payments. Plus also charges a 1% fee on rent, up to ₹3,000 a transaction.
