Questions people ask

Do I need a fixed deposit for IDFC FIRST WOW?

Yes. WOW needs a fixed deposit of at least ₹20,000 with IDFC FIRST Bank, held in your name alone (not a tax-saver or sweep deposit), and your credit limit is 100% of it. Points are earned only on spends up to that limit in each billing cycle. In return, no income proof or credit history is needed.

Who can get Scapia or WOW?

Federal Bank publishes ages 21 to 65 for salaried and 25 to 65 for self-employed Scapia applicants, who must be resident Indian citizens, but no income figure; it sets its other criteria when you apply. WOW is open to Indian citizens aged 18 to 80, including students and homemakers, because the deposit backs the card.

Can I use WOW or Scapia on UPI?

Only Scapia. Its complimentary RuPay card earns 1% (5 Scapia Coins per ₹100) on UPI, but not on payments below ₹500. WOW is a Visa card and can't be linked to UPI.

Which is better for spending abroad?

Both charge no forex markup. WOW also earns 0.5% back on international spends. Scapia's terms list forex transactions among spends that earn no rewards, so check with Federal Bank before counting on coins for spends abroad.
