Questions people ask

Do they earn the same on groceries and bills?

In rupees, yes. Power pays 2.5% on up to ₹4,000 of grocery and utility spend a cycle and Power+ pays 5% on up to ₹2,000, so both top out at ₹100 a cycle. FASTag works the same way: 2.5% on ₹2,000 against 5% on ₹1,000, ₹50 either way.

Which can I get if I already have an IDFC FIRST card?

Only Power+. IDFC FIRST says existing cardholders can apply for Power+ but not Power.

Does fuel at any pump earn the higher rate?

No, only HPCL pumps. Both cards also earn 1.5% in Happy Coins when you pay through the HP Pay app, on up to ₹10,000 a cycle. Neither waives the fuel surcharge, and both charge a 1% fee once fuel spends pass ₹30,000 in a cycle.
