Questions people ask
Which earns more, Millennia or SWYP?
It depends on how much you spend each statement cycle. At ₹5,000 a month, Millennia's 0.375% comes to about ₹225 a year, while SWYP's ₹50 milestone gives ₹600, or ₹101 after its ₹499 fee. At ₹60,000 a month, SWYP's top milestone pays ₹12,000 a year against Millennia's ₹2,700 on everyday spends, or ₹9,000 if it were all dining, travel and international at 1.25%. SWYP's milestones are totals, so spend above ₹60,000 earns nothing more.
Can I carry a balance on IDFC FIRST SWYP?
No. On SWYP you pay purchases in full or convert them to EMI for a flat monthly fee; balances can't be carried over.
Do Millennia and SWYP have lounge access?
Neither gives airport lounge visits as a card feature. Both give 4 railway lounge visits a quarter after ₹20,000 of spend in the previous calendar month. On SWYP, 4 domestic airport visits are only a reward for 10 referrals.
What does each cost, and who can apply?
Millennia has no joining or annual fee and needs an income of ₹3 lakh a year; self-employed applicants can apply with an ITR. SWYP charges ₹499 plus GST, paid after approval and before the card is activated, then ₹499 a year from the second year, with no spend-based waiver. IDFC FIRST doesn't publish SWYP's age, income or employment criteria.
