Questions people ask

Is Power+ worth its fee over Millennia?

If you buy fuel at HPCL, usually yes. Power+ pays 5% on HPCL fuel but doesn't refund the 1% fuel surcharge; Millennia pays nothing on fuel but refunds the surcharge on ₹200 to ₹5,000 transactions, up to ₹200 a statement cycle. That leaves about 4% in Power+'s favour, so about ₹1,040 of HPCL fuel a month covers its ₹499 fee, or less if you also use its 5% on groceries and utilities. At other pumps Power+ earns nothing and refunds no surcharge, so Millennia is better there.

Can I use Power+ or Millennia on UPI?

Only Power+, which works on UPI as a RuPay card. It earns 0.5% (3 points per ₹150) on UPI spends, with no cap. IDFC FIRST doesn't list Millennia as a RuPay card, so it can't be linked to UPI.

Does Millennia or Power+ have lounge access?

Power+ gives 1 domestic airport lounge visit a quarter, used in the month after you spend ₹20,000 in a calendar month. Millennia has no airport lounge access, only 4 railway lounge visits a quarter on the same ₹20,000 rule.

What do I need to qualify?

Both ask for ₹3 lakh a year in income (about ₹25,000 a month). Power+ also asks for age 21 or over (25 if self-employed) and a healthy credit score. Millennia needs income proof; self-employed applicants can use an ITR.
