Questions people ask
Which is better for Swiggy and Zomato, HSBC Live+ or HDFC Millennia?
HSBC Live+ pays 10% on food delivery against HDFC Millennia's 5% on Swiggy and Zomato. Live+'s 10% shares a ₹1,200 monthly cap with dining, groceries, shopping and bills, reached at ₹12,000 of those spends; Millennia's 5% stops at ₹1,000 a month across its 10 merchants. HSBC goes by the merchant's category code, so the way a merchant is coded decides the rate.
Who can get HSBC Live+?
Salaried applicants aged 18 to 65 need income of ₹6 lakh a year and self-employed applicants aged 25 to 65 need ₹12 lakh, and you must live in one of 21 cities, including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Pune. HDFC Bank asks salaried Millennia applicants for a gross monthly income above ₹25,000, though its FAQ gives a different figure, so confirm with the bank.
Does HSBC Live+ have lounge access?
Yes. From 1 September 2026 it gives 2 domestic airport visits a year (no more than one every 6 calendar months) and 1 international visit a year, with no spend condition published. HDFC Millennia has no free lounge access: in each calendar quarter you spend ₹1 lakh, you can take a domestic lounge voucher instead of a ₹1,000 gift voucher.
Which is cheaper to keep?
The fees are nearly the same: ₹999 for Live+ and ₹1,000 for Millennia, plus GST. Live+ refunds its annual fee if you spend more than ₹2 lakh in the card year. Millennia waives its renewal fee at ₹1 lakh of spend in the year before, and paying its joining fee earns 1,000 CashPoints (₹1,000).
