Questions people ask
What's the difference between Axis Magnus and Magnus for Burgundy?
Earning, lounge access and the 2% forex markup are the same. Magnus for Burgundy converts points to partner miles at twice the rate (5 points to 4 miles, up to 10 lakh points a year, against 5 to 2), adds 4 airport meet-and-assist services a year, and costs ₹30,000 a year against ₹12,500. Its welcome voucher is worth ₹5,000 against Magnus's ₹12,500, and Magnus holders who upgrade don't get it.
Who can get Magnus for Burgundy?
Only Axis Burgundy banking customers who meet Burgundy's rules on their own customer ID, for example an average monthly balance of ₹10 lakh in savings, a total relationship value of ₹30 lakh (₹1 crore including demat holdings), or a net salary credit above ₹3 lakh a month. You apply through your relationship manager or a branch about 45 days after the relationship shows on your Burgundy statement; there's no online application. Axis reviews the relationship every 6 months and swaps the card for the regular Magnus if you no longer qualify.
Is Magnus for Burgundy worth ₹30,000 a year?
Only if you move points to airlines or hotels. At Axis's published ₹0.20 a point both cards return the same, so the extra ₹17,500 a year buys the better miles rate and the meet-and-assist services. The fee is waived at ₹30 lakh of eligible spend in the previous card year. New Burgundy salary account customers from 1 July 2026 with a net monthly salary credit of ₹2 lakh or more can get the regular Magnus with no fees, though without its welcome voucher.
Do both cards have unlimited lounge access?
Yes, on the same terms: unlimited international visits with Priority Pass for the primary cardholder plus 4 guest visits a card year, and unlimited visits to Axis's listed domestic lounges once you've spent ₹50,000 in the previous 3 calendar months. Since 28 August 2026 you enter domestic lounges with the card itself, because Priority Pass no longer works at lounges in India.
